Green Deal action

The Department of Welfare will provide education for all its staff, focusing on user-focused design, cultural sensitivity, and a culture of service. This education is a key action for achieving the goals of the Welfare Policy and changing the service culture of the Department. The education supports four general objectives of the Welfare Policy:

  1. Every individual is unique
  2. Respect and care
  3. Proactivity and prevention
  4. Professionalism and vision

All educational curriculum of Reykjavík City's Department of Welfare is developed based on the Welfare Policy. Torgið, the eLearning system for municipal staff, is being introduced and certain training is being transferred to a digital format.
