Aðalstræti 10, a new exhibition addition to the foundational exhibition of the City Museum, is connected with The Settlement Exhibition at Aðalstræti 16 and tells the story of a town becoming a city in an accessible way. The emphasis is on highlighting aspects of Reykjavík's history, shedding light on the everyday life of its residents through time. The approach and content target the range of City History Museum service users as effectively as possible and are intended to encourage thought and inquiry through diverse media.

Status report on January 1, 2023

On May 7, an exhibition opened in Aðalstræti 10, the oldest building in the city, linked to the Settlement Exhibition at Aðalstræti 16. The exhibition is accessible and open to the public during the City Museum's opening hours. The exhibition was well received by both residents and visitors of the city, adding yet another feather in the city's cap in terms of cultural offerings in the city center.
