Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
Develop a cultural education program for Reykjavík City that presents guidelines about children's cultural and artistic participation in education and recreational activities, and the main milestones of cultural offerings for children at every age.
Implementation period
Planned completion in the second half of 2024
Status report on July 1, 2025
Status report as of year-end 2024: A review of the Uppspretta website and cultural event offerings for children at cultural institutions is underway. The plan is to apply experience from the cultural connections program in primary schools to the development of the cultural liaisons role.
Status report as of end of June 2025: This initiative was part of the broader measures in the Education Policy from 2022-2024. This initiative is part of the new Education Policy action plan for 2025-2027 and will therefore be transferred from the Green Deal. More specific, related projects will be included in the new plan.
