Green Deal action
Renew Reykjavík City's Prevention Policy. The Policy will be developed in multidisciplinary collaboration with all City stakeholders involved in services for children and teenagers.

Planned completion in the second half of 2023
Status: Completed
Status report on January 1, 2024
Action completed. The plan is now in the review process with the specialized council. After that, it will go to the City Executive Council and the City Council for approval. It is expected to be finalized by mid-February.

January 2023 | The working group is finishing up their tasks, and in the coming weeks, they will present a draft for a new prevention plan. This draft will be introduced to the responsible parties for prevention and health promotion at Reykjavík City. After that, it will be submitted for approval. There is not a final date set for this work just yet, but it is expected to be completed by the end of April 2023. |
July 2022 | A decision was made to prepare preventive plan has been under the Public Health Policy of Reykjavík City, instead of a new preventive policy. A working group has been appointed with a mandate. The group is headed by Óskar Dýrmundur Ólafsson, the Executive Director of the South Center. |
