Culture Night Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026

Culture Night, Reykjavík's largest anniversary and partner festival, will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026. You could say the festival is the highlight of the summer, with fun events coloring public life in the city center from morning to evening. The festival is for all city residents and guests who want to join the celebration and have fun. Many families and groups of friends now have a tradition of meeting up on Culture Night to enjoy a fun-filled day together.

Would you like to participate in Culture Night?

We welcome anyone who wants to participate in this year's festival, which will be held, with pomp, on Aug. 22, 2026. The festival area covers the city center to Langahlíð in the east, Hagatorg in the west, and stretches out to Grandi.
