Culture Night, Reykjavík's largest anniversary and city festival, will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026. You could say the festival is the highlight of the summer, with fun events coloring daily life in the city center from morning to evening. The festival is for all city residents and guests who want to join the celebration and have fun. Many families and groups of friends now have a tradition of meeting up on Culture Night to enjoy a fun-filled day together.

Landsbankinn Culture Night Fund
Applications are now open for Landsbankinn Culture Night Fund.
Grants are available for those interested in organizing diverse and enjoyable events. Events can be of any size or type, and anyone interested can apply for a grant for events that will liven up the festival.
The event must take place in the center of Reykjavík. The application deadline is May 31st
