Guest stays

The application deadline is June 14.

What is offered?

  • We offer a two-week residency from Oct. 1-14.
  • We provide a 650 euro stipend
  • We also cover travel expenses

Conditions

  • Applicants must have connections to a City of Literature outside Iceland
  • Applicants must have published at least one literary work
  • Applicants must work on a literary project during their residency
  • Applicants must have strong English language skills

Required application materials:

  • You must submit a two-page excerpt from a published work
  • You must submit a resume
  • We recommend including a letter of recommendation

Send your materials to grondalshus@reykjavik.is with the subject line "International Residency Application" plus your full name and the name of the City of Literature you're connected to

You must complete your application by June 14, 2024.

We'll notify the selected applicant by July 1, 2024
