Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
The plan aims to tackle the primary challenges in preventative work for children and young people in Reykjavík. Preventative work takes place in the immediate surroundings of children and young people, where school and recreational activities play a vital role. District centers play a key role in ensuring collaboration among parties that support children, young people and their parents throughout the city's neighborhoods.

Planned completion in the second half of 2026

Guðrún Halla Jónsdóttir was hired as prevention officer to oversee the plan's initiatives. Initiatives and reports that address violence involving children and young people related to group formation and problematic behavior are of particular note.
