Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
A competition for a new dance and gymnastics center at Gerðuberg 1 in Breiðholt is planned. The building will be located in the neighborhood center near Austurberg, according to new neighborhood plan proposals for Breiðholt. The building is planned to be 2-3 stories and 2,000-3,000 square meters. The space will include a gymnastics hall, three dance studios, a black box theater, karate studio, changing facilities, storage space and lobby. Adjacent spaces will include equipment storage, locker rooms, staff and sports instructor facilities, a rest area and first-aid room, restrooms, and administrative and staff areas. Plans call for shared parking on adjacent lots, and a transportation assessment has been completed outlining resident and visitor access to the building.
