Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
The City's food policy integrates various aspects including urban environment, environmental protection and health promotion. The food policy action plan promotes community development in line with environmental and health goals. The main goal of implementing Reykjavík's food policy is to promote better health for Reykjavík residents and help the City achieve its sustainability and efficiency goals where applicable. Food policy actions also promote a vibrant green community, improved food security and access to nutritious food.
