You can apply for you child to go to school in a municipality other than Reykjavík. The application must be received before April 1 of each year.

Submit a completed application form by email to sfs@reykjavik.is
The application must be received before April 1 of each year. If an application is accepted, it is valid for one year and if the school term lasts longer, you must re-apply.
What is the cost?
If the application is accepted, the City of Reykjavík will arrange to pay the municipality concerned.
