Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
Planning competition for the construction of a residential area and transport hub in Vatnsmýri. The transportation hub in Vatnsmýri will become the major stop for public transportation within the capital area, the CityLine and Strætó Public Transport, in addition to being the starting and ending stop for air and bus travel outside the capital area.

Planned completion in the second half of 2023

The project status remains unchanged from the previous status report. The idea of building a transportation hub in Vatnsmýri has been part of discussions about revising the Transportation Charter for the capital area and the possibility of including the transportation hub as part of Miklabraut Highway Cap.
