Are you working on a book, a film, a TV series, a website, or any other kind of project related to the history of Reykjavík and plan to use images from the Reykjavík Museum of Photography in your project? Then you can apply for a grant from Reykjavík City to offset the purchase cost. The grant is a discount on the cost of publishing images.f
Applications for visual storytelling grants should include information about the applicant as well as a project description. It should also include a price estimate from the Reykjavík Museum of Photography for planned image purchases, in accordance with the Museum's fees. The grant does not cover the value-added tax on the use of images.
The goal of the grant is to support the robust communication of Reykjavík's cultural heritage and history. A panel, composed of three Reykjavík City specialists from the Department of Culture & Sports, reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Culture, Sports & Leisure Council.
