Idea search for planning of the Borgarspítali site (City Hospital), Sóleyjarrimi and Safamýri
Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
Planning preparation for these areas will take place during 2024-2025. These areas are owned and managed by the city and are designated sites where residential housing development can be accommodated. The idea search will take place in early 2024. Development of land-use plans will follow the idea generation phase later in 2024 and early 2025.

A planning description for Sóleyjarimi has been published and all submitted comments have been presented. Competition proposals for the area are now being refined.
Planning descriptions for the Borgarspítali area and Safamýri have been completed and the review process is currently underway.
