Skerjafjörður

Description of the action and objectives

Green Deal action

New Skerjafjörður is a new residential area being built near the southern part of Reykjavík Airport. The neighborhood will have various types of homes for residents with diverse backgrounds. The existing stone embankment at Skerjafjörður is scheduled to be widened by mid-2024 to create space for a bus route connecting to the CityLine station at Fossvogur Bridge. Design work is nearing completion, and preparations for material procurement have begun.
