Status report on January 1, 2023

On August 11, 2022, the City Executive Council approved an updated plan, in addition to the 2017 plan, for the reconstruction of housing for disabled people. The revised plan extends until 2028 and involves 20 apartment complexes with 120 dwellings, along with two mobile housing units that would provide support for 148 individuals. Altogether, these total 168 dwellings along with staff support.

The total cost until 2028 is estimated at 3,688 million kr. at 2022 prices, inclusive of initial costs. The City Executive Council's resolution is based upon the work of a working group appointed by the Mayor's mandate on March 28, 2022, which delivered its findings in May of the same year. Following the review by the Department of Finance & Risk Management, the working group's recommendations were presented to the City Executive Council in August and approved as noted above.
