Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
A municipal plan amendment for the area that considers climate criteria will be developed in 2024. Additional guidelines and regulations will be established for forestry on farms and agricultural areas, as well as other open land. Furthermore, land reclamation provisions will be considered, and goals for wetland recovery will be established. Goals and regulations will be developed based on climate policy and will apply to land owned by the city as well as land owned by others.

A working group has been established. An informational meeting with residents was held in early September. The neighborhood plan for the Grund neighborhood in Kjalarnes has not started, but it is expected to begin in 2024.
