Status report on July 1, 2025

Planning in Keldnaland is in full swing and has been for the past year. Fall 2024 saw a public information and consultation process to publicize the municipal plan's project brief and the winning proposal from consultants. An open house was held at the University of Iceland Research Station at Keldur, a guided tour of Kálfamói, an informational meeting at Reykjavík City Library in Spöngin, and an exhibit of the award-winning proposal from FOJAB architects. The next phase of the public information and consultation process is currently underway, presenting drafts of municipal plan amendments, framework components, and environmental assessments of the plans. Official statements and comments will be accepted until Dec. 3.
