Activity & Rehabilitation
People in need of rehabilitation or support for work or activity can receive a wide range of counseling, education and resources based on their individual needs. Active community participation helps people enhance their social skills, strengthen their self-image, and improve their quality of life.
Rehabilitation at the Virknihus Activity Center
At the Virknihus Activity Center, people have many options for rehabilitation to get a job or to increase their activity and participation levels. The goal is always to improve people’s quality of life and increase their opportunities in life, focusing on self-empowerment, learning and recovery.
Employment and activity for people with disabilities
Many people with disabilities possess valuable experience and knowledge that can be used in a variety of jobs, but sometimes require assistance or work placements, access, working hours, and tasks that meet their needs, generally called appropriate adjustments.
Through home-based rehabilitation, people receive training and counseling to suit their needs. The rehabilitation is largely carried out at the users’ home or in their local environment. It is for people who have applied for social home care or residential care when the assessment shows that the rehabilitation will likely be successful.
