Description of the action and objectives
Green Deal action
We want companies and entrepreneurs to be able to advance their ideas and attract talented people and funding. We pay particular attention to intellectual exports, creative industries, and green growth projects. We work closely with stakeholders, for example, on developing knowledge and innovation hubs in Miðborg, Vatnsmýri, Gufunes and Álfsnes. We intend to shape a future framework for Reykjavík City's research and innovation partnerships, define involvement with entrepreneurial and knowledge centers, and determine how the City participates in cluster initiatives.
We nurture Reykjavík residents by ensuring access to quality education, providing training to adapt to changing employment landscapes, and enhancing the city's global competitiveness by attracting talented people from around the world. We foster an environment of innovation, arts and culture throughout Reykjavík City's school and recreational activities, emphasizing social innovation and progressive solutions in educational content and methods.
