Work on the promotional material continued in the latter part of the year. The purpose of promotional materials is to establish Reykjavík's unique position in the minds of tourists and encourage people to spend more time in Reykjavík during their trip around Iceland. The promotional campaigns ‘Restart, Reconnect’, and ‘Are You Ready for Reykjavík’ continued, targeting mainly wealthier American and British tourists.

July 2022 Alongside developing the new Employment & Innovation Policy, rough drafts were created for an action plan. Work continues on the action plan in harmony with the Green Deal, the majority agreement, work of the Human Rights, Innovation & Democracy Council together with the Digital Council.
