About 100og1
The 100og1 Youth Center is one of five youth centers located in Miðborg, Hlíðar, and Vesturbær, operated by Tjörnin Recreation Center. The target group is children and adolescents in grades 5-10 at Austurbæjarskóli.
100og1 youth center aims to offer diverse, creative, and fun activities for local children and adolescents. This involves creating a positive atmosphere and environment in recreational activities to develop key skills in children and adolescents, focusing on social skills, participation, and strengthening self-image. We try to offer a varied monthly program designed to appeal to children and young people with different interests, while providing a safe and welcoming environment. There is also a strong emphasis on education against prejudice and substance use prevention.

Workplaces of the Department of Education & Youth of Reykjavík City operate according to a bullying checklist developed in extensive consultation with professionals.
Disruption to school and recreational activities

Spennistöðin
Spennistöðin serves as a school, youth center, and community center for city center residents.
The building is used for teaching in the morning and as a youth center at other times.
The space is also available for residents and community organizations in the city center.
Child prosperity
The new Act on the Integration of Services in the Interest of Children’s Prosperity has come into effect. The goal is to ensure children and guardians receive the right assistance, at the right time, from the right parties. Families and children in need of early support have guaranteed access to a prosperity liaison in the child's immediate environment, such as in preschool or primary school. The prosperity liaison offers information and guidance on services and ensures that children and guardians have unhindered access to these services. Children, youth, and guardians can reach the school prosperity liaison to request integrated services.
Information on the prosperity contacts for children at the 100og1 youth center can be found on the website of Austurbæjarskóli.
