About Vogasel
Vogasel is an after-school program for 1st to 4th graders from Vogaskóli and is operated by the Kringlumýri recreation center.

Extended attendance
On professional development days, parent conference days, and during Christmas and Easter holidays, Vogasel is open all day from 8am to 5pm with prior registration. There is an additional charge for extended stays on these days. Vogasel is closed during the school's winter holidays.

Bullying in school and recreational activities
Bullying and violence can have a lasting impact on the psyche of children and adolescents. It should not be accepted school and recreational activities. All workplaces for children and adolescents have an anti-bullying plan. Parents who receive indications or information about bullying should take it seriously and report it to the relevant parties. Workplaces of the Department of Education & Youth of Reykjavík City operate according to a bullying checklist developed in extensive consultation with professionals.

Capital area municipalities have assigned SHS to monitor weather conditions and forecasts and send out alerts when needed, working with police and education authorities as appropriate.

The Act on the Integration of Services in the Interest of Children’s Prosperity has come into effect. The goal is to ensure children and guardians receive the right assistance, at the right time, from the right parties. The prosperity liaison offers information and guidance on services and ensures that children and guardians have unhindered access to these services.
