The support services are based on people’s living circumstances and are provided in people’s homes, online or however is most convenient. People receive assistance in implementing services that support their independent living, daily tasks, and participation in society.

You will receive a phone call

When we call you, you will need to answer a few questions. Then we will find a counselor that suits you and book a time for you to meet and talk. If you want someone with you during the interview, please let us know during the phone call.

Meeting with the counselor

You will meet with a counselor to discuss what services could be right for you and what the next steps are. Sometimes more than one meeting is needed.

Regular communication

The counselor will support you and help you apply for services and solve various problems. Do not hesitate to call the counselor if you need assistance.

Am I entitled to support services?

To be eligible for support services, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Be assessed as needing support according to the criteria set in the Rules on Support Services for Disabled Adults with Long-Term Support Needs.
  • Have a confirmed disability diagnosis.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Live independently or with parents.

Individuals 67 years old and older may be eligible for support services if their impairment is not age-related. Children and youth under 18 years of age may receive support services tailored to their needs.
