About the preschool
Fífuborg is open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Fífuborg Preschool in Grafarvogur officially opened in January 1993. The outdoor area for the preschool, Hallsholt, is nearby. It is a popular spot for children's walks, as well as for outdoor education and free play. The preschool has 20 employees in four groups where around 70 children attend at the same time. The groups are called Ljósheimar, Álfheimar, Dvergheimar, and Hulduheimar.

The values of Fífuborg are respect, health, and joy
In Fífuborg, play is the primary teaching tool, and all school activities are built around it. The belief is that children learn best through play, so the environment is designed to encourage play and provide easy access to diverse materials both inside and outside. The main focus areas of the preschool include fostering friendship, promoting environmental education, developing literacy skills, and promoting democratic values.

The Center for Fífuborg
Fífuborg Preschool falls under East Center. East Center provides a wide range of services to the residents of Árbær, Grafarholt, Grafarvogur, and Kjalarnes and is a comprehensive information source for municipal services. The Center provides welfare services, school services to preschool and primary schools, day care and recreational counseling, and various other services.
