Green Deal goals in social affairs.
The aim of Reykjavík City is to encourage most residents to participate regularly in sports, physical exercise, or other physical activities.
- Sports, exercise, and movement are for everyone at all stages of life, regardless of performance-oriented approach
- All children and adolescents have the opportunity to develop and grow in a diverse and accessible sports environment, regardless of origin, gender, gender identity, religion, class, disability, physique, behavior, or other statuses
- Affordable and suitable facilities for sports and movement are available based on inclusive design, accommodating all genders
- Reykjavík has an organized framework, good collaboration, and support for the robust and professional activities of sports clubs
- City has outstanding competitive and athletic people giving motivation to future generations for sports participation
