What's on the menu?

Most primary school students take part in the lunch program. The cost of school meals is the same at all schools. And, you do not need to pay for school lunch for more than two children from the same household. Here, you can see what's on offer in the cafeteria of Seljaskóli.

About Seljaskóli

Seljaskóli began operations in the fall of 1979. The first school year only had instruction for the youngest school level, but since then, the number of students increased, up to a maximum of 1500 students, when it has a double-session schedule. Today, the school is a comprehensive primary school with a single-session schedule for students from grades 1 to 10, and it has about 650 students and around 100 staff.

The after-school program Vinasel (Friend Bungalow) is at Seljaskóli and the name of the youth center Hólmasel (Holm Bungalow) is the same as the street name.

Child prosperity

The Act on the Integration of Services in the Interest of Children’s Prosperity has come into effect. The goal is to ensure children and guardians receive the right assistance, at the right time, from the right parties. Families and children in need of early support have guaranteed access to a contact person in the child's immediate environment, such as in preschool or primary school. The contact person offers information and guidance on services and ensures that children and guardians have unhindered access to these services. Children, youth, and guardians can contact the school contact person to request integrated services.

The contact persons for Seljaskóli are: Kristjana Ósk Sturludóttir and Laufey Unnur Hjálmarsdóttir
