The Reykjavík Department of Education & Youth collects and manages a considerable amount of statistical data about its operations, including the number of children, employees, and workplaces across various areas of the Department's jurisdiction.

You can find this information for a specific year in the documents below and in many of them, comparisons with previous years. They also include statistical forecasts for the anticipated number of children/students in the coming years.

Up until 2017, this information was available in the supplementary documents of the annual Policy and School Operation Plan of the Department of Education & Youth. However, from 2018 onwards, the traditional school operation plan was discontinued and instead developed based on Reykjavík's new Education Policy.
