It is important for all people to be able to have a hearty and nutritious meal every day. Food delivery service is available for individuals who cannot cook for themselves and aren't able to eat at one of Reykjavík City's Department of Welfare's community centers. The food is prepared at the production kitchen of the Department of Welfare at Vitatorg.

How does the service work?

Food delivery goes out three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

For food portions delivered on Mondays, which includes meals for Monday and Tuesday, orders need to be placed by 2pm on Friday. For food portions delivered on Wednesdays, which includes meals for Wednesday and Thursday, orders need to be placed by 2pm on Monday. For food portions delivered on Fridays, which includes meals for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, orders need to be placed by 2pm on Wednesday.
