The policies of cultural projects and institutions under the Department of Culture & Tourism are being revised according with the City's Culture Policy and the Green Deal.

Status report on January 1, 2023
Several sub-policies in the Department of Culture & Sports have expired and need renewal. In light of the merger of the Department of Culture & Tourism and the Department of Sports & Leisure, this work was put on hold and will resume in 2023. The Reykjavík City Museum has completed its policy development.
