Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach

The geothermal beach at Nauthólsvík is a unique bathing destination in Reykjavík where nature and a man-made environment blend beautifully. Golden sand forms a beautiful beach along a lagoon where warm geothermal water mixes with cold seawater, allowing guests to enjoy the beach year-round. The beach offers excellent facilities, including hot tubs, a steam bath, and changing rooms.

Gufunes Recreational Park​

The field at Gufunesbær now features an enjoyable outdoor recreation area for families and children. This family-friendly outdoor recreation area features an adventure hill with tunnels, a playground castle, water play equipment, a small turf farmhouse for young children, a Jumping Pillow, a pétanque court, a disc golf course, an orienteering course, and beach volleyball. The park also includes a covered barbecue shelter with three charcoal grills.

There are many opportunities for skiing in and around Reykjavík. We offer three ski lifts for children and beginners in Reykjavík. Cross-country skiing tracks are laid in various places and the ski areas in Bláfjöll and Skálafell are close to the City limits.
