A large area lies between Austurberg and Vesturberg in Upper Breiðholt. This area includes the grounds of Fellaskóli, Hólabrekkuskóli and Breiðholt Comprehensive Junior College, as well as Breiðholtlaug pool and Leiknir sports field. The area also features a sizeable public park with lawns, groves and playgrounds.
