About Sabine

Sabine Leskopf was born on February 6, 1969 in Germany, where she grew up. In 2000, she moved to Iceland after also having lived in Scotland and Russia. She is married to Gauti Kristmannsson, professor at the University of Iceland, and together they have 3 children, who are now in college, upper-secondary school, and primary school.

Career

Sabine has had a wide range of jobs. In Germany, she worked as a university lecturer. In Iceland, she first worked in the Business Development Department at Össur hf., later as Project Manager for Alþjóðahús International House, and Executive Director at AUS International Youth Exchange, but for the longest time she has worked as a translator and interpreter as well as a part-time lecturer at the University of Iceland.
