West Nordic Capital Fund, Board
The Board of the West Nordic Capital Fund comprises the mayors of the three capital cities: Reykjavík, Tórshavn, and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq (Nuuk), along with two elected representatives from each city.
General information about the Board configuration
The mission of the fund is to promote cooperation and understanding between politicians and residents in Reykjavík, Tórshavn, and Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq (Nuuk) through:
- grants for cultural, educational, and sporting projects
- thematic debate on topical political issues in the West Nordic capitals.

Appointment of Reykjavík City representatives to the Fund's Board for 2022-2026
On June 23, 2022, the City Executive Council, in addition to Mayor Dagur B. Eggertsson, appointed City Councilors Dóra Björt Guðjónsdóttir and Kjartan Magnússon to serve on the Fund's Board until the end of the electoral term 2022-2026.
