Reykjavík Parking Service operates seven parking garages across the city center and provides services related to paid parking in Reykjavík. Here you can pay for parking, register a disabled parking card for a parking space, apply for a resident parking permit, pay parking penalty fees, apply for a subscription in City parking garages, and access other parking services.
Parking
Pay for parking in Reykjavík here. You cannot pay online for parking in City parking garages or for privately operated paid parking.
Holders of a disabled parking card can register their car here for paid parking spaces to avoid incorrect meter violation fees.
Parking penalty fee
Pay a parking penalty fee, commonly known as a fine, online here.
If you believe you were charged in error, you can request a review of the parking penalty fee.
Send an email requesting that confirmation of your emergency be forwarded to Reykjavík Parking Service.
Resident parking permits
Resident parking permits are valid for one year. Because resident parking permits are not subscription-based, you must submit a new application to renew.
Applicants who are not the registered property owners must provide consent from the homeowner.
Resident parking permit 1 is already in use for this home. Renewal requires a new application.
Request to edit the license plate number (registration number) on a resident parking permit, resident parking permit 2, or business parking permit.
Request to edit the resident parking zone on a resident parking permit, resident parking permit 2, or business parking permit.
Request to transfer a resident parking permit to a new legal residence after moving.
Please note that you must specify the permit's expiration date.
Business parking permit
The operator's business activity must fall under ÍSAT 2008 industry classification No. 47 or 56.
