Græn svæði
Tin Behind West Village Swimming Pool
Pool tin), residents of three houses (Einimel 22-26) have fenced off a 1000 sqm slice of city land so that other city residents cannot enjoy the pool. Can a clear answer be given as to why the City of Reykjavik has not acted for years?
Answer: The fence in question is part of an older fence from the time of the town of Vidimýr. The city has had a conversation with the affected loam-holders and stands ready to remove the fence next summer. It has then been agreed to advertise a proposal for a simple amendment to the division plan of the site which envisages that the plots at Einimel 18-26 will be slightly enlarged so that the plot boundaries will be in the line on which the existing fencing on the city's roads adjoins Einimel 18 and 20, see: https://fundi.reykjavik.is/sites/default/files/agenda-items/veestbaejarlaug2.pdf
Vesturbæjarlaug
According to a proposal that has been approved by the Planning and Transport Council and will be submitted to the City Council, the open area at the Pool of West Bohemia will decrease by 389m2 from what was before. As a result, this area is reduced, which should be legitimately available to the public and covered by private land. Why is this decision taken, namely to expand private land at the expense of public land limited in West Bengal? Er þetta fordæmisgefandi að ef fleiri íbúar Vesturbæjar girða af borgarland án nokkurs leyfis í lengri tíma að þá sé hægt að semja síðar í nafni sáttar og einu sem fá eitthvað í sinn snúð eru lóðarhafar einkalóða en almenningur ber minna úr býtum https://fundur.reykjavik.is/sites/default/files/agenda-items/vesturbaejarlaug2.pdf
Answer:
This now goes to the general advertisement and presentation after approval by the city council, where you can point this out and comment.
Um bílastæði í hverfinu og gjaldtökur
Vehicles are parked illegally in Old West Bengal repeatedly.
What, if anything, is the City of Reykjavik going to do to carve up military scars against illegally parked cars that create danger and are eligible to involve private individuals in managing the issuance of fines on illegally parked cars in the city's neighbourhoods so that this may be addressed?
Answer:
The Parking Fund and the police supervise vehicle locations on sidewalks and other areas that are prohibited to park. The Parking Fund monitors two- to three-vehicle vehicles travelling through the city's neighborhoods, outside chargeable areas, mostly during daytime hours. It is eligible to increase the monitoring of vehicle locations in the city.
Parking on the property of the University of Iceland
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of toll-free parking spaces on HI's property. Has the City of Reykjavik done and can it do anything about launching a charge on these parking lots in the West Bengal which would lead to better land use, lower carbon emissions and higher air quality?
Answer:
It is up to the University to establish a charge on its property. There is already a fee-free parking closest to the main building of the University of Iceland, in the Skive. The City of Reykjavik has encouraged the school to extend compulsory education in the region. Those ideas have been well received.
Colonial Street Payment Machine
How is it that there is only one payment machine for parking on Colonial Street and it is located closer to one end of the street in the west? Most of the street is south of the playground. People who park their cars in the east from the corner of Egg Street don't just have to walk far to pay the parking fees, it's also completely impossible to see where the payment machine is located because of the outgoing houses. There are also no labels in the street indicating where the payment machine is located. Sense is waiting for a payment machine to be located to the north of the street at approximately 20 Colonial Street. "The computer says no" when this is discussed with the Parking Fund.
Answer:
The Colonial Street parking payment machine is located approximately in the middle of the road between Seljavegur and Ægisgata, about 170 m are the furthest to the machine. With the increasing use of electronic payment solutions, including apps, the need for payment machines has decreased.

I would like to know how we are organising the estate on Brotherhood Path 1, it has now stood vacant for a considerable time and a few steps ahead of planned activities there. Has it been checked if an old house could be moved there rather than built a new one?
Answer:
The organizer's planning description for the construction of a new partition for plots No. 1, 3 and 5 at Brotherhood Path. This organizational description will be sent out for presentation to the public after consideration by the Planner's Office and after discussion by the Planning and Transportation Council. The purpose of the new division is, inter alia, to define and establish the terms and conditions for the scope of the new construction quantities on the Brotherhood Path 1 and 3 plots. It aims to produce a proposal that takes into account its local environment and respects the local history. It has not been considered to fit a transfer house on plots no. 1 and 3 keep twisting with sensitivity a new architecture with older styles in the area.

There were two questions about accessibility for people with disabilities at Mela School.
On the one hand, it asked specifically when an elevator was expected in the school premises and whether improvements for accessibility for people with disabilities at school would be part of larger activities or whether they were expected earlier.
Answer: These days, efforts are being made to prioritize maintenance and renovation projects in the city's schools and recreation facilities. Accessibility issues there weigh very heavily and it is clear that there is a great need for improvements in Melaschool. The City Council recently agreed to increase funding for maintenance and upgrading of school premises, and a report on implementation priorities is expected next month. Improvements to improve access in old housing such as Mela School are extensive and will be an important part of the activities ahead of the school. It is not advisable to engage in activities that improve accessibility until there is a comprehensive plan for the maintenance and possible expansion of the school.
KR
Battavels/Kickbacks
A few years ago, some efforts were made to increase the number of arenas, and several of these were erected in the city's neighborhoods. For illustration purposes, a batting/kicking field is a heated and illuminated artificial grass field with a lattice around it so that the ball remains the longest in play, but not a traditional school field. View further explanations in Icelandic at https://www.ksi.is/library/Skrar/Mannvirkki/sparkvollur_2004_bakling.pdf In short, there is no field like this in Vesturbaer, and the only one that could be considered similar is the training ground that KR owns and uses for organized training. In other City Districts, there are as many as five City owned courts, so it is quite clear that Vesturbaer is not receiving equal service. https://reykjavik.is/sites/default/files/ymis_skjol/skjol_svida/Sparkvellir___Reykjav_k_2012.pdf It should be noted that this map shows a court at KR, that is owned by KR, but other courts are most if not all on school grounds. Therefore, the question is: Currently balancing these facilities across neighborhoods by setting up 4-5 battlegrounds with a fence in West Bengal like other neighborhoods. Locations could include Greater Skerno, Starhaga, Grand Zone, Landakottún, Melaskolandia.
ANSWER:
-
Batta embankment on the West Bohemian Academy lot: In 2014, a heated batta court was constructed, with no timber or bats on the same plot.
-
Batta embankment on the West Bohemian Academy lot: In 2021, a heated batten field (multi-purpose) was made, with a wire fence around the field.
-
Batta Embankment on Grande School Lot: In 2018, a heated batten field (multi-purpose) was made, with a wire fence around the field.
-
Batta field on the property of Mela School: In 2014, a heated batta field (multi-purpose) was made, with a wire fence around the field.
-
Batta embankment on Haga School property: In 2018, a heated batten field (multi-purpose) was made, with a wire fence around the field.
Sports Club in Skerjafjordur
a new residential building is planned in Skerafjörður (New Skerafjörður). Will this area be within the area served by KR or will this be defined for Val Gardena as a sports district although, of course, everyone is welcome to pick up sports from outside the neighborhood? If KR will service this neighborhood in terms of sports, how will public transport from there to Frost Shelter 2 be done? Now there is no bus that goes from Skerafjörður into West Bengal and very badly organized to take Route 12, walk to Hagatorg and then take the bus from there. As in this context, it is worth mentioning that the City of Reykjavik contributed to the cost of the construction of the Grótta gymnasium, which serves the West Indies, so bus routes should be good. Girls are in the vast majority who practice gymnastics and, like the KR Junior Women's Football League, are starting to join forces with Grotto and practice out on the Nesi, so it is important that public transport is good from the Cutter to prevent dropout.
ANSWER:
A decision that addresses which sports club is the subject of the selection as a neighborhood society is generally not the subject of planning authors and is therefore not addressed directly in the terms of the new residential building division proposal of New Cut. Special facilities are not expected to be provided under a sports club in the New Shire beyond the traditional sports facilities of a new neighborhood elementary school. Time must tell whether the Skerjord becomes a genuine Choice District or whether Vale shares the Skerjord and its inhabitants with KR, which is now the dominant sports club among children and adolescents in the small and large Skerjord.
It is worth noting that the distance travelled by cyclists and pedestrians is similar, whether on the Champions Stadium or at Side End depending on the coastal route (measured from the centre of Skeljanes). It is also worth reminding that children and adolescents in Skerði are free to go to a sports association other than a neighbourhood club and receive unimpaired sports grants from the City of Reykjavik, such as The leisure card.
Among the main objectives of the new residential building in Cutterland is the creation of a sustainable residential area that will be well connected to nearby service and employment centres by means of safe and eco-friendly transport infrastructure to the adjacent neighbourhoods, especially pedestrian, cyclist and public transport. In the last few years, work has been in progress on a comprehensive revision of the Street Bs. route system alongside the introduction of City Line.
Artificial turf field KR
The City of Reykjavik owns and operates large artificial turf fields in the KR and is therefore responsible for the maintenance and cost of electricity and heat. The USK Procurement Department is therefore responsible for the renovation of the embankment and a tender was launched in the autumn where the embankment was unused. On November 30, 2021, parents and practitioners were emailed about the commencement of the program and talked about how it would take 2-3 weeks, so practice could start in the new year. This February 3, exercises have not yet begun and there is talk that it will not be possible to start exercises until frost-free and dry for several days in a row. It may not be until March that such conditions are created, and soccer children in West Bengal have been for 2-3 months without training facilities, but on school grounds. Questions are therefore important. What causes this to take so much time and when can you expect kids to start exercising again on the artificial turf?
ANSWER
The contractor Metatron has sent the City of Reykjavik an explanatory memorandum on the reasons for the many delays. It says at the end: “It may therefore be clear that it is in our interest to be able to complete this work as soon as possible. We will do everything in our power to do so without the quality of our work being brought to the table ”. For more information: pwj@sportverk.is
Römpum upp Reykjavík
Ramping up Reykjavík is a great project. When will Vesturbaer get accessibility ramps?
ANSWER:
The project is being carried out by a person, https://rampur.super.site/ Haraldi Inga Þorleifsson and that would be his job to look at. The city came into this as a sponsor.
