Hlemmur comes alive

Hlemmur has been planned as a city center square, a space for various events, and play in a safe environment.

It will be recreated as a public space for all ages with access for everyone, and vehicle traffic will be rerouted from the square.

This is the first policy of its kind that defines Reykjavík as an Intercultural City.

Reykjavík is the Christmas City

My Reykjavík promotes vibrant community life and culture, supporting local businesses including shops, restaurants, and other services in the city center during Advent.

The center of Reykjavík offers the highest concentration of restaurants, shops, culture, and other services in Iceland. Many exciting activities are planned for the project during Advent.
