City Hall, Event Management
The Event Management of City Hall makes decisions regarding the operation of City Hall, the use of Tjarnarsalur for art exhibitions, and more. City Hall usually hosts numerous events each month.
Main tasks:
- Handle requests for using Tjarnarsalur and other City Hall facilities following the established rules.
- Handle requests for rental of spaces in City Hall for weddings.
- Handle requests for Reykjavík City's participation in events and activities in Tjarnarsalur and other City Hall facilities.
- Handle various other matters related to City Hall facilities, such as flagging, lighting, and signage.
- Provide expert opinion to process requests for large mayoral receptions when needed.
- Provide expert opinion on the City's participation in events and activities when needed
- Ensure compliance with rules on Tjarnarsalur and suggest revisions when needed.
