Opnað hefur verið fyrir innritun í 1. bekk í grunnskóla og á frístundaheimili fyrir veturinn 2026-2027. Skólabyrjun er 24. ágúst 2026.
Skráning í grunnskóla fer fram á island.is og við skráninguna þarf að nota rafræn skilríki.
Öll börn sem byrja í grunnskóla og á frístundaheimili næsta haust eiga að hafa fengið senda heim til sín bók um byrjunina.
Frístundaheimili - hvað er það?
Þegar skólinn er búinn á daginn getur barnið þitt farið í frístundaheimili. Þar er boðið upp á skemmtileg viðfangsefni sem veita barninu þínu útrás fyrir leik- og sköpunarþörf.
Skrá þarf börn sérstaklega í frístundaheimili og það getur þú gert þegar þú hefur staðfest skráningu fyrir barnið þitt í grunnskóla. Þegar barnið er komið með samþykkta dvöl færð þú sendar upplýsingar um starfsemina og dagskipulag frá frístundaheimilinu í tölvupósti. Verði tafir á þjónustu vegna manneklu eru umsóknir afgreiddar í samræmi við reglur um þjónustu frístundaheimila.

Registration for afterschool centers takes place in Vala and requires electronic ID. Further information and registration can be found on the Reykjavík City website.
All children in Reykjavík starting primary school and after-school centers in 2026-2027, should already have received a book, sent to their home, about this beginning. The book can also be accessed here.

After-school centers (frístundundaheimili) - what are they?
During the day, after school is over your child can go to an after school center. They offer fun topics where your child can get an outlet for their need for play and creativity.
Children need to be registered specifically for the after-school centers. You can do that after registration for primary school has been confirmed. When the child’s stay has been approved you will receive information on the program’s function and schedule from the after-school center via email. If there will be any disruptions to the services due to staffing shortages applications will be processed in accordance to the rules for the after-school center.

Zapisy do świetlicy odbywają się osobno po rejestracji dziecka do szkoły podstawowej. Gdy Twoje dziecko otrzyma akceptację pobytu w szkole podstawowej, otrzymasz pocztą elektroniczną informacje o zajęciach i codziennym harmonogramie świetlicy. W przypadku opóźnień przyjęcia dziecka do świetlicy spowodowanych problemami kadrowymi, wnioski będą rozpatrywane zgodnie z zasadami dotyczącymi świetlicy szkolnej.
