We are all unique
The children sit in a circle on the floor with a staff member. The first child says, "I am unique because ..." and adds something they believe applies to themselves but not to others in the group. It might be that 'I have five siblings', 'I speak three languages', 'I've never used Snapchat', or 'I am colorblind'. If this applies to another child in the group as well, then that child moves and sits in front of the speaking child. Then, the child has to find something new that makes them unique. The child continues to mention things until they find something that makes them unique within the group, with no one sitting in front of them. Then it's the next child's turn to say what makes them unique. Everyone in the circle gets to share what makes them unique, and the staff member uses the examples to highlight the diversity in the group and how great it is that we are not all the same.
