About the social activities

Sléttan is the name of the quality of life community at Sléttuvegur 25-27. It has a community center run in partnership between Reykjavík City and Hrafnista, and also houses the Hrafnista nursing home, Naustavör rental apartments, and Röst day care. The social and recreational activities at Sléttan are open to everyone, regardless of age. We offer a diverse daily program filled with education, entertainment, and special events. There's no need to apply for participation, just show up. If you plan to participate in a class with limited spaces, you will need to register in advance.

At Sléttan, we emphasize spontaneous social activity that anyone can influence and shape. Staff welcome all ideas - don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to take the initiative with social or recreational activities at Sléttan. The goal of our social activities is to prevent and reduce social isolation. It is a space for community-building, human interaction, and creative activities. We strive to engage the initiative and skills of everyone.
