Payment terms for the summer activities of recreation centers and youth centers for disabled children
Sibling discount
There is one payment slip per month for summer activities at after-school programs. A 20% sibling discount applies automatically for siblings with the same legal residence and affiliation in Registers Iceland who attend summer activities at City-run after-school programs in the same month. No sibling discount is available for summer workshops at youth centers for ages 10-12.
Cancellation
Please note that if you need to cancel participation in a course/workshop, you must let the relevant recreation center know in writing at least one week before the start of the course/workshop (e.g. before midnight on Sunday when the course/workshop starts on Monday a week later). In other cases, the fee will be charged in full.
Due date
Fees for summer activities at after-school programs are billed after the fact.
Fees for youth center workshops for ages 10-12 are billed in one payment at the end of the period, around mid-July.
The due date is the first day of the following month. The final due date is 30 days after the due date. Late-payment interest and overdue fees are added if the fee has not been paid on the final due date. If the amount has not been paid within 50 days of the due date, the bill is sent for collection using the debt collection agency Momentum. Recreation Cards cannot be used to subsidize summer activities.
