Applications are now open for residency at Kjarvalsstofa in Paris on the My Pages section of the Reykjavík City website. Kjarvalsstofa is a studio apartment/workspace that artists in Iceland can apply to rent for a limited time.

The 40-square-meter studio is part of the international artists' center Cité internationale des arts, which hosts over 300 artists from around the world each year. The apartment is located in the city center of Paris, close to Notre Dame Cathedral. Kjarvalsstofa is managed by Reykjavík City and the Ministry of Culture and Business Affairs.

The application must specify the objective of the stay, what project the applicant intends to work on, and whether the project has a special connection to Paris or France, in terms of networking or research. The application deadline is midnight on January 13. Artists can apply for residency from May 2025 to April 2026, with a minimum stay of two months.
