European Music Business Task Force is a project involving Music City, in collaboration with PROMUS in Denmark, as part of the global Music Cities Network.
The project aims to systematically train a network of European music professionals by developing insights, skills, and knowledge to create a strong and sustainable market within the European music industry. The group establishes workshops at some of Europe's largest 'showcase' festivals, including Iceland Airwaves, Tallinn Music Week, Eurosonic Noorderslag, SPOT Festival, and Reeperbahn Festival.
In 2023, Music Cities Network and The Center for Music Ecosystems published the 'European Music Policy Exchange' report, the first of its kind, acting as a handbook for music policy-making intended for European urban planning.
