Opening hours

The social activities program at Dalbraut 18–20 is open weekdays from 9am–4pm

  • Lunch is served between 11:30am and 12:30pm every day (guests must order lunch by 1pm the day before by phone at 588 9533)
  • Afternoon coffee from 3pm to 4pm every day
  • Dinner at 6pm every day
  • Evening coffee at 7:30 every day

  • 11am Chair yoga in the library
  • 1:30pm Singing with Sigrún, every other Thursday

  • 2pm Whist (except last Friday of the month)
  • 2pm Mass and coffee, last Friday of the month

Other events are posted on the bulletin board. Church service is the last Friday of each month.

Service

  • The shop is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30am-12:30pm. Ásgerður Sigurðardóttir oversees the shop and building
  • Hafdís Hair Salon - open weekdays 10am-5pm, appointments at 411 2508
  • Kristín's Podiatry Practice - open weekdays when needed, appointments can be booked by phone at 567 1087 and GSM 895 7391

About the social activities

This is a service open to all Reykjavík residents without any special conditions. To participate in social activities, you don't need to apply - just show up on site. If you plan to attend specific classes or trips, you'll need to register.

Throughout the city, there are 17 active community centers open to Reykjavík residents of all ages. The goal of social activities is to prevent and lessen social isolation by offering open community and leisure activities along with a variety of classes. Social activities serves as a platform for community, human interactions, and creative pursuits.
