But I Was Alone! Boys' Self-Image and the System

The lecture series, But I was alone! Boys' Self-Image and the System is held in partnership with the Reykjavík Gender Equality Academy, Geðhjálp, and the University of Iceland's Faculty of Educational Sciences.

A full-day conference at the Faculty of Education was planned, but due to the impact of COVID-19, it was decided to divide the conference into four digital sessions. The first session was held on September 9, 2020, titled Masculinity and boys clashing with the system. The second session was held on Thursday, November 5, where possible differences between boys and girls were discussed. On Thursday, January 21, 2021, harmful manifestations and violence were discussed. The fourth and final session was held on March 18, 2021, where solutions and methods were discussed.
