Agreement on Non-Violent and Safe Entertainment Venues in Reykjavík.
On April 8, 2022, a new agreement on non-violent and safe entertainment venues was signed, but the project started in 2016. Parties to the agreement include the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police, Reykjavík City, the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police, the Emergency Response Line (Neyðarlínan), the Capital Region Fire Service, the Icelandic Travel Industry Association, and the Association of Reykjavík Entertainment Venues.
Violence-free and safe entertainment venues in Reykjavík, for all guests and staff. Our goal is to prevent any and all forms of violence at entertainment venues. Violence, in any form, is unacceptable. This includes sexual and gender-based harassment, prostitution, human trafficking, and violence motivated by prejudice or hate, such as against immigrants or LGBT+ individuals.
