About Reykjavík Vocal Academy

At Reykjavík Vocal Academy, the primary subject is singing/vocal training. This education includes core subjects such as music theory, harmony, relative pitch, music history, and piano. The school's teachers are a group of singers, pianists, and other musicians with extensive education and often vast experience, with much to share.

All students regularly receive private singing lessons and private sessions with a pianist to work on their projects, from the Youth Department through the Basic, Middle, Advanced, and University Departments. Upon completing this program, a student will have worked on at least 150 projects and regularly performed in concerts within the school, in addition to appearing in the school's staged exhibits, which occur 1 to 2 times a year.

We are fortunate to have teachers specialized in drama and choreography; all choral departments receive guidance in these areas. The age of students at the school ranges from 7-60 years, as various departments are available.

The principal is Ólöf Kolbrún Harðardóttir
