About the Reykjavík School of Music Education
The Reykjavík School of Music Education is the oldest operating music school in Reykjavík, founded in the fall of 1952 by Dr. Heinz Edelstein. The school's goal is to provide general music education, thereby enhancing the music scene in Reykjavík. The School of Music Education primarily serves students aged 6 to 15 and is open to children from all neighborhoods of Reykjavík. Instruction is offered for various instruments, and there's also a rhythmic department at the school, Miðstöðin or the Center.
