There was considerable snowfall in Reykjavík on Boxing Day. Probably about 20-25 centimetres of snow fell in the city. Snow removal went smoothly and he was paid for on streets and paths. They called out for snow removal on the streets as early as last night, and most of them were finished this morning, December 27.
Snow ploughing started again in the morning and will be completed by mowing in the streets today and will continue when the number of cars decreases and it will be possible to clean up and remove the piles that have formed.
It is still important for drivers to be careful and drive according to the conditions, but salt is being applied on all main roads, streets and paths.
