Applications for a stay at Kjarvalstofa in Paris were opened today on Reykjavík City's My Pages. Kjarvalsstofa is a studio apartment/workshop that artists in Iceland can apply to rent for a limited time.

The studio is 40 square meters and is part of the international artist centre Cité Internationale Des Arts, which hosts over 300 artists from around the world every year. The apartment is located in the centre of Paris, close to Notre Dame Cathedral. Kjarvalstofa is managed by the City of Reykjavík and the Ministry of Culture and Trade.

In the application, the goal of the stay must be specified, which project the applicant intends to work on and whether the project has a special connection to Paris or France, in the form of networking or research. The application deadline is midnight on January 12. You can apply for a stay between May 3, 2024 and April 28, 2025, and the allocation is for a minimum of two months at a time.
